TIME TO WET YOUR WISTLE

about a month ago my cousin Anna my friend chuck and my self went to great-lake the naval base in Chicago. it was to see one of our good friends Cody Murray who just graduated from basic. we arrived the Thursday before and stayed at the local Holiday inn. after a long ride we ordered some pizza and hit the sac (no homo). we woke 5 am and got ready and got some breakfast we took the shuttle at six to the base. we had some weird taxi driver in a Hyundai.

what a guy handsome fella huh? haha any way he was pretty legit. all we had to do  was call him and he was there. the graduation went smoothly. it was hella long but it was good.

we got to spend the day with him we went to the mall then to the hotel to swim. and after a sad goodbye it was time to head to my sisters house. i havent seen her in awhile so we decided to stay with her the rest of the week.we took it easy the first night got some diner and caught up with the fam. while we were talking we decided it'd be cool if we visited a micro-brewery they had up there called "two brothers". they had a tour at 2 in the afternoon and tastings after that.

this is us during the tour we got a quick shot of me and chuck in front of one of the oak tanks. the tour was pretty sweet we learned the the guys who started it actually were two brothers and while the older one was studying abroad in Italy and Germany for his degree in some kind of landscape or something like that he  realized how he really enjoyed the beer there and when he came back he brewed it himself and boom one day it just became what it is today. being the second largest micro-brew in Illinois.
these were our sample beers the they had anywhere from a pale ale to an amber to a dark ass beer they called Cain and Able.i have always loved to cook because it just  kind of k=clicks with me. i understand the flavors and what goes together and what dosnt and with my brother in law starting to make his own home brew i think that brewing beer is just like the coolest thing ever now even to the point to were i have looked up brew master schools, there is actually a brew school in Chicago and as of now i cant really decide what i want to do for a living so who nos maybe one day you can visit my brewery the 618 brew haus. haha i dont know im just spit ballin here.

  1. The trip sounds pretty intense. I would have enjoyed it just for the crazy cab driver. You like making beer that much eh? People probably find it weird, but it is somewhat of an art. No schmuck can put things together and have people enjoy it, you have to have a certain touch to everything and a keen sence of smell and taste. I mean im not much of a beer drinker, but I have delved into wine tasting a tad and its pretty interesting. If you know the band Tool Maynard has his own wine brewing company. There are videos on YouTube of him talking about it, its pretty interesting you might check it out.
